NOD (Northern Ontario Division)
PRE-SEASON CAMP AT MONT TREMBLANT, QC

Picture
This was the first annual NOD pre-season camp organized by Jason Sullivan, North Bay Head Coach, and Dave Derbyshire, Sault St. Marie Head Coach.  With over 50 racers from all across the North, and coaching from North Bay, Sault St. Marie and Sudbury, this pre-season camp allowed the racers to get back on snow and begin training.  This was a very intense camp consisting of five full days on snow, off-snow seminars (tuning, nutrition, mental preparation, National athletes), tuning and two travel days.  With our tight and full schedule, the racers were still able to have free time to explore Mont Tremblant’s beautiful village, and have fun at La Source (aquatic center) where the racers swung from Tarzan ropes, and enjoyed the hot tub after a cold day on the hill.  Temperatures were as low as -55˚C with wind chill at the top of the mountain.  All North Bay racers who attended skied GREAT!  This pre-season camp is open to Snow Stars, K and J racers.  For more information about next years pre-season camp, please contact Jason Sullivan.

ADULT SKI RACING PROGRAM

We will be running our adult ski racing program again this season.  Training nights will be Wednesday OR Thursday (choose one night) from 6:30 PM to 8:30PM.  This program will start either January 13th OR 14th, 2010 and it will run for 8 weeks.  For more information, please contact Dave Bull.
