E1/E2 PROGRAM (Snow Stars)
E1 is the introductory program of the Nancy Greene Ski League for children ages 5 -10 (age as of December 31). The E1 program delivers customized free skiing and introduces young skiers to alpine ski racing at a very basic and fun level. This is the Nancy Greene league which follows the Husky Snow Stars program.E2 is the most advanced Nancy Greene Ski League program for children 9-10 years old. It is a transition from Nancy Greene to the K1 (11-12 year old) program. The E2 program offers an excellent opportunity for young athletes to improve their skiing skills with an increased focus on technical skiing and racing. The kids will enjoy a good mix of skiing. It’s an excellent environment for young athletes to improve their skiing skills while getting a taste of racing with a fun group of peers.
K1/K2 PROGRAM
The K1 Program is the first level of Alpine Ski Racing. This program is for children of ages 11 and 12 (children must be either 11 or 12 years old as of December 31st). It is the start of their journey as a competitive skier. K1 racers begin to adapt to a more competitive atmosphere where each individual is encouraged to push themselves through competition and a quality-training environment to further their skills as a skier and racer.
The K2 Program is for children of ages 13 and 14 (children must be either 13 or 14 years old as of December 31st). At this stage of the program the athletes should have a grasp on the skills required in this sport. The athlete is still in the developmental stages of ski racing and races should be viewed as training for future development.
J PROGRAM
The J program is for children of ages 15-18 (ages as of December 31st). In this program the athlete continues to develop their race skills in a competitive environment.
